Home care company Home Instead Senior Care have been adding a little Christmas Sparkle to the lives of their Clients with their range of new services for Christmas. Home Instead have offered their Clients a range of services to make this Christmas that bit more special: help with shopping, writing cards, wrapping presents, decorating the home and even support to attend carol concerts or church services.
CAREGivers have been supporting their regular Clients, amongst other things, to write their Christmas cards with special messages for loved ones and catch the post early. One Client said “Christmas is the only time of the year that I have contact with some of my relatives, and the support to add that special message has been invaluable.”
Talking about the extra support one CAREGiver is providing to a Client: she said “I have supported the Client to go out and buy cards and presents and we have had a great time writing the cards and wrapping the presents together. It has given the Client peace of mind to be able to prepare for Christmas as she wants to and get help with some tasks which she would have struggled with.”
Commenting on the service, Managing Director David Moore said, “There are many people across Stockport and Tameside, not just amongst our Clients, who have no family to support them at Christmas, and it can be a very lonely time. For this reason people do not want to celebrate and can become quite depressed. The service is designed to help these people get involved with Christmas, write cards or send presents to friends or loved ones and decorate their home to add that bit of sparkle to their lives.”
