Our day care service at home in South Norfolk and across East Suffolk is our flexible answer to traditional day centres, bringing engaging activities and companionship directly to clients in their own homes. Many more older adults experience loneliness; our day care service provides crucial social connection and mental stimulation. Rather than requiring travel to a centre, which can be challenging for those with mobility issues or dementia, we tailor activities to each person in their familiar environment. Our Care Professionals become trusted companions who visit regularly, creating structure and meaningful engagement throughout the day.

What makes our day care service special is how completely personalised it is to each individual’s interests, abilities, and preferences. We take great care in matching clients with Care Professionals who share similar hobbies, values, or complementary personalities, creating the foundation for a natural and meaningful connection. This thoughtful pairing means activities can be genuinely engaging, whether that’s enjoying a bit of gardening, sharing favourite music, or simply chatting about a subject close to someone’s heart. It’s this personal touch that helps clients feel seen, heard, and supported.
We offer two types of home care: hourly care, where we visit at set times, or live-in care, where a carer resides in the home. Both are overseen by our care management team and delivered by compassionate Care Professionals. Each care package is made up of of a unique mix services to meet your needs.

A day care visit might include reminiscence activities using family photographs, gentle exercise tailored to ability levels, or perhaps arts and crafts that tap into longstanding skills or introduce new creative outlets. For clients able to get out, a Care Professional might drive them to a local garden centre to enjoy the seasonal displays, or for a relaxed lunch in a supportive environment. For those living with dementia, structured activities that stimulate memories and conversation can be particularly beneficial. We’ve seen remarkable responses when activities connect deeply with a person’s past.

Our day care service is led by our owner Mark, whose experience in local authority care gave him insight into how personalised, home-based day care can often better meet individual needs than one-size-fits-all day centres. Every Care Professional on our team receives in-depth training in providing meaningful activities and stimulation, alongside our specialist dementia training which is assured by City & Guilds. We work closely with many local occupational therapists, physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals to incorporate rehabilitative exercises or cognitive activities that support recovery or maintenance of abilities.
We’ve established many strong connections across the local area of South Norfolk and East Suffolk that enhance our day care services, whether that’s knowing the best times to visit local attractions or having relationships with community venues or dementia day centres that welcome older adults. For clients who enjoy history, we might arrange visits to local museums or historical sites with Care Professionals who can provide appropriate support. For those who prefer quieter activities, we can facilitate video calls with family members. These thoughtful touches, combined with our understanding of each client’s preferences and needs, create day care that isn’t just about filling time, but about creating meaningful, joy-filled days that enhance wellbeing and quality of life.
