Dementia Awareness Day

We will be holding a Dementia Awareness Day on the 28th June, from 9.30am to 5pm at Beetham Nurseries!

Dementia affects so many people. One in 14 people over the age of 65 are living with dementia and these numbers are increasing sharply. Often people don’t know where to go for support. We can help. Join us at Beetham Nurseries where you can experience the life changing virtual dementia tour and learn what help is available in our community; from how to get a diagnosis to funding options and support groups.
The virtual dementia tour is the only scientifically and medically proven method of giving a person with a healthy brain the experience of what dementia might be like. It has changed the lives of so many caring for people with dementia, enabling loved ones to be able to give better support as they gain a better understanding of the disease.
We will be there along with support groups and free information packs with lots of useful resources. Beetham Nurseries is also a very nice spot for tea and refreshments and shopping! Our Home Instead Choir will be there too!
Pop along anytime. If you have any questions please call Home Instead South Lakes: 01539 267220
