Peer support groups are so important for those living with long term health conditions

Gaining support, sharing experiences, signposting and just building relationships with others is so important when you are living with, or you are supporting someone who is living with a long term health condition.

We have put together a summary of just some of the amazing local support groups, where you will find a listening ear, a cup of tea and hopefully some laughs along the way!

Stroke Survivors Speech and Language Support Group

Stroke survivors speech and language supports groups hold 3 separate groups, one held in Crewe, one held in Alsager and another held in Sandbach. The groups provide activities to help with the effects that a stroke can leave behind, as well as peer support and usually a lot of good fun too!

Crewe group meetings are held on Tuesdays 11.00am-12.30pm in Union Street Baptist Church, not too far away from Crewe town centre and nearby shops. Sandbach group meetings are held on Wednesdays 11.00am-1.00pm at Sandbach Rugby Club, and Alsager group meetings are held at The Thirteen Club.
