Celebrating Carers Week
At Home Instead South Cheshire, we’re proud to be a part of a community that comes together to support each other, and this weekend, we’re doing just that by taking part in the Dabbers Dash at Barony Park in Nantwich. On Saturday, 21st June we will be joining local residents and families at this fantastic monthly event in honour of Carers Week.
What is the Dabbers Dash?
If you haven’t already heard of Dabbers Dash, it is a free, inclusive 5k event where people of all ages and abilities can run, walk or wheel their way around Barony Park. It was launched in 2022 by community advocate Paul Mcintyre, who was inspired to create a safe, traffic-free space for people to stay active and connected in their local communities.
What started as a simple idea has grown into a celebrated local initiative that promotes health, wellbeing and community spirit, and has even won national recognition for its impact. This weekend, Dabbers Dash is focusing on an incredibly important cause: shining a light on the vital work of unpaid carers during carers week.
Why We’re Getting Involved
At Home Instead South Cheshire, we understand the immense value of care, not just as a service, but as a personal commitment. Carers Week is about recognising the selfless dedication of unpaid carers. These individuals are the unsung heroes in our community. As a local Home Care provider, we see every day the difference that carers make. That’s why we’ll be at Dabbers Dash this weekend, not only to participate, but to share information, offer guidance, and help carers in our area to feel seen, supported and appreciated.
Come and Say Hello!
We will be happy to welcome you, and you will be able to
We’re also there to talk to anyone interested in becoming a Care Professional, a truly rewarding role that changes lives every day.
