Our CAREGivers

We have a fantastic team of committed, professional, reliable and compassionate CAREGivers. Many of our team draw on their own past personal experiences to encourage, assist, and stimulate our clients over a wide range of daily activities that help improve their quality of life and help them maintain as much independence as possible.

Our CAREGivers come from Solihull, Shirley, Knowle, Dorridge, Hall Green and are highly trained to provide companionship, home help and personal care.

Managing Director

David Dunn. Owner

Hi I’m David, owner of the Home Instead office in Solihull. Up until this time in my life I have had a career in Engineering where I have worked as a Product Manager / Project Engineer for a number of international companies during which time I have been fortunate enough to travel all over Europe and as far as Japan. It is through personal family experience that I understand the challenges of finding the right care to support a loved one. This experience encouraged me to open the Solihull office. Our aim is to change the face of ageing in the local community. We are totally committed to quality and believe this can only be achieved by having the right systems in place, together with a team of appropriately trained people who share our values and aims of enriching the lives of our clients.

 It’s wonderful to be part of a team that make a difference to the clients they care for, and to be able to provide employment opportunities within the community. In my spare time, I enjoy a variety of sports including taking part in triathlons, golf, table tennis and hill walking

Registered Care Manager

Aimee Facer. Registered Care Manager

Hi, I’m Aimee and I am the Registered Care Manager for Solihull. I came to Home Instead over three years ago. After starting my family, I wanted to do something that made a difference but that also fit with my family life. I originally joined the business as a part time CAREGiver, so I have a really good understanding of what life as a CAREGiver is really like.

I transferred to the Solihull team when the business opened in 2016, so I have been here with David since the start. Here I progressed into being a Senior, supporting my fellow CAREGivers in the field.

I have been on quite the journey with Home Instead progressing from CAREGiver, to Senior, to Deputy Care Manager, to Care Manager, most recently I have achieved my registration with CQC and am now Registered Manager. I am currently undertaking my Level 5 in Health and Social Care.

I oversee the day-to-day running of the office, ensuring compliance, doing Care consultations and taking care of the well-being of both clients and CAREGivers alike.

Care Coordinator

Vicki Johnson. Care Coordinator

Hi, I’m Vicki and I am the Care Coordinator at Home Instead Solihull.

I started as a CAREGiver and now work in the office with the care team to ensure we deliver excellent care to our clients. I also work in the field doing quality visits and supporting our CAREGivers. 

I currently train our newest CAREGivers to ensure they meet the highest standard of care, whilst feeling support and confident in what they do.

I really believe in the values of Home Instead and am passionate about the high-quality care we provide our clients, as well as supporting our CAREgivers to be the best they can be. I am proud to be part of the Home Instead Team!

Jo O'Grady. Senior CAREGiver


I’m Jo and I am a Senior CAREGiver for the Solihull Branch.

My role is to support the Care team in delivering excellent care. I work a lot in the field doing client assessments and quality visits, making sure our clients are receiving the best care possible. I am also here to support our CAREGivers, making sure they are happy and confident in their work.

I was really drawn to Home Instead as I feel they are passionate about delivering a high quality service.

I currently live in Solihull and in my spare time I enjoy riding my horses and walking my dogs.

Lead CAREGiver

Alice Jarvis. Lead CAREGiver

Hello, I am Alice and I am a Lead CAREGiver for Home Instead Senior Care in Solihull.

I grew up in Knowle and attended Arden School and Sixth Form College.

I enjoy taking part in volunteer work and fund raising and for the past 2 years I have volunteered at a homeless shelter in Birmingham. I decided I wanted to volunteer to make a real difference to other people’s lives, and in turn I have learnt a lot out of the experience too.

That was one of the reasons I joined the Home Instead team because I wanted to feel I was making a difference. I began with Home Instead as the office administrator, which gave me a great opportunity to build relationships with our CAREGivers before I moved into the role of Care Coordinator and now onto the Care Team as Lead CAREGiver. 

In my spare time, I like to go walking with my Jack Russell, Humphrey, and enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

Recruitment Networker

Jordan Peachey. Recruitment Networker

Hi, I'm Jordan, I am the Recruitment Networker.

My role is to attract and recruit our wonderful CAREGivers, ensuring they share our passion to provide the highest standards of care. Making sure they are happy and informed throughout the whole recruitment process. Also to make sure that once part of the team they are kept happy and feel secure and valued in their role.

I also get out and about in the local community, building relationships and spreading the word about Home Instead, who we are and what we do.

I have worked in a neighbouring Home Instead office before, I left for a short while before realising Home Instead is really where my heart is. I love that every day is different here, that I meet a variety of people and that the people that I recruit make a genuine difference to the lives of others.

Paulina Urbaniak

Paulina Urbaniak. Scheduler/Office Support

Hi, I am Paulina. I joined Home Instead in May 2019 as a CAREGiver. Now I schedule all of our care calls and support the rest of the office with administration duties.

It is my job to ensure that our clients have got a great relationship with our CAREGivers and the visits are scheduled as per clients’ needs, and help with the day to day running of the office.

I grew up in Poland and have lived in England for over 15 years. In my spare time I like to play tennis, go for a long walk and visit my family overseas.
