About Home Instead Solihull

Welcome to Home Instead Solihull.  Our ethos is to 'change the face of ageing' and it is with extreme passion and commitment that we are here in your local community doing just that. Just because you are an older person doesn't mean your quality of life should diminish.

When my wife and I were looking for our own family, we quickly realised how difficult it was to be the desperate relative trying to find the right support for your family.   It was this emotional journey that led us to set up Home Instead Senior Care close to home, to help families like our own

Based in Solihull, Home Instead Senior Care provides award winning home care for older people in Knowle, Dorridge, Solihull and surrounding villages; allowing them to remain independent and continue to live in their own homes for as long as possible. Nationally we are also rated as the number one elderly care provider by the Care Quality Commission when it comes to meeting the criteria they expect for all home care providers. This was revealed in the very latest report issued by LaingBuisson - the research specialist of the care industry.

Our CAREGivers are kind and compassionate and share our commitment to deliver the best quality care to every one of our clients. Our commitment to you is exactly this.  Our CAREGivers are thoroughly screened and trained.    Each CAREGiver will be matched to an appropriate client, and personally introduced by a member of our management team.  Our visits will not be rushed, and they will be tailored to the needs of each individual client.  These needs may vary from assistance with shopping trips, providing companionship, escorting to appointments or social engagements, home help, meal preparation, personal care, support with medication and much, much more.  Our visits can be from as little as one hour a week. Whether you call it Home Care, Home Help or Domiciliary Care, our aim is to raise the bar in terms of providing quality care for older people. Our helping hands are available whenever you need them.

I want Home Instead to become your trusted companion for you and your loved ones, and for us to become an extension of your family. We will do what we say we are going to do, when we say we are going to! We pride ourselves on the consistency of CAREGivers, their punctuality and the exceptional quality of care they provide. The same person will come at the right time on the right day to do what you want. Not difficult, but the only way that true companionship can start to build.

Our clients include individuals who have come to us themselves, older children who have referred their parents or relatives, people who receive direct payments from the local authority and clients referred to us by the Primary Care Trust. Regardless of how you come to Home Instead, it is our goal to provide the same level of help and care that I wanted for my own family!

Our office is based in Hockley Heath, just a few minutes from M42 junction 4 and we welcome a visit any time. Alternatively, you can call us on: 01564 330 395 to find out more information about our services.

The Solihull Home Instead Senior Care Office is part of a global network of more than 1000 locally owned and operated offices, with 175 offices throughout the UK.

My family have worked with Home Instead to provide care for my mother over the last 9 months as her physical and mental health have declined precipitously. We have been extremely impressed with their service. Aspects of Mum's care that have been particularly good are Home Instead's staff both managers and carers ability to see and provide what Mum needed and find the right carers for her. Care is the right word as the staff have always placed Mum at the centre of what they have provided and her carers have given her hours of fun as well as providing support with daily living. They have also visited her in hospital which has meant a great deal.
We have felt supported as a family particularly when Mum needed 24-hour care. The Home Instead team signposted us to the agencies which they felt they could work with and offered us advice about the best way forward. Their support was invaluable.
