The Dolls House on the Hill

Harrow on the Hill is a place where you can experience the vista of English history in the urban landscape. Harrow School Boys can be seen bustling along the High Street with their boaters on or on Sunday’s, their top hats, and tails, gives the Hill a leisurely, old-fashioned atmosphere, especially appealing in a world where everything moves so quickly.

The likes of Sir Elton John, Benedict Cumberbatch, Vivienne Westwood, Tom Cruise, George Michael, Sir Roger Moore and many others have called Harrow home at one time or another.

‘Harrow-on-the-Hill’ is the title of a poem by John Betjeman, in which he sees the hill as ‘a rocky island … with a churchyard full of sailors’ graves'.

Our clients who are local to Harrow love to visit this unspoilt area and visit many of the shops and love to stop for afternoon tea at the Dolls House on the Hill. When it comes to something to eat, the Doll’s House on the Hill offers the classic afternoon tea experience. Serving hot tea, freshly made cakes, and light lunches, the tearoom is found within a very picturesque Georgian shopfront, and the inside is as timeless as the sea. While operating on a walk-in basis during the weekends, if you should be visiting during the week you can also choose to reserve a table and pre-book a meal.

The Doll’s House on the Hill can accommodate vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diets as required.

Open from 9.30 to 17.00 Monday to Friday and 10.00 to 17.00 on Saturdays and Sundays.
