Ruislip Manor Fun-day

Advice and Information stall
Advice and Information stall

On Saturday 30th June 2012 the Ruislip and Harrow office had an information and advice stall at the 16th Annual Ruislip Manor Fun-day. The stall was manned by Ginette Meade, Marie Cavanagh and Tyrese Jeffers (Marie's Grandson)!

During the day we gave out information from local services such as Alzheimer's Society, Parkinson's UK and Age UK as well as our Age UK falls campaign brochures sponsored by Home Instead.

Although we had to contend with a very windy day it stayed dry and we managed to keep all the brochures in place on our table using pebbles from the garden!

We had two collection boxes for the Alzheimer's Society and the public kindly donated when they visited our stall.

The event was attended by thousands of people throughout the day and there were stalls from many local charities and organisations and a stage for local performers.

Home Instead is changing the way care is delivered in the UK. Their service is tailored to the needs of individual clients and ranges from companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, post-discharge care, personal care, medication reminders, shopping and errands. The service is totally flexible to meet client needs and is available from as little as 1 hour to 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
