Needing support with personal tasks can be a sensitive topic, but with the right approach, it can also be empowering. Personal care isn’t just about completing tasks; it’s about how they’re done. We listen carefully to our clients’ preferences, routines, and needs, helping them stay comfortable and in charge. That might mean selecting a favourite outfit, supporting someone to shave just the way they like, or assisting with continence care in a way that is discreet and kind. Our Care Professionals also work alongside family members, district nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that support remains safe, appropriate, and holistic. From early-morning routines to preparing for a special outing, we’re there to help clients feel ready and reassured every step of the way.
We offer two types of home care: hourly care, where we visit at set times, or live-in care, where a carer resides in the home. Both are overseen by our care management team and delivered by compassionate Care Professionals. Each care package is made up of of a unique mix services to meet your needs.

The impact of thoughtful personal care can’t be overstated. One son told us: “I found there was a consistently high professional and caring approach… the care provided by the carers was faultless, and I am so pleased my father was looked after in a dignified and caring way.” Another family member shared: “I cannot speak highly enough about the Home Instead (Rugby) team… Nothing was too much for them and the exemplary standard of care was so reassuring.” These reflections highlight what matters most: being treated with respect, having continuity of care, and knowing that someone kind and capable is there when needed most.

Our personal care service is underpinned by extensive training and clinical insight. Many members of our team have medical backgrounds, and all Care Professionals receive practical instruction in areas like stoma care, catheter management, fall prevention, and post-operative support. We also provide specialised training in dementia and Parkinson’s care, equipping our team to respond to complex and evolving needs. Each care plan is reviewed regularly, with input from both the client and their family, to ensure it remains personal, effective, and aligned with our high standards. We apply our “Mum & Dad” test to everything we do – if we wouldn’t deliver it to our own loved ones, we won’t deliver it to yours.
We work closely with local GPs, nurses, and health professionals to ensure joined-up, responsive support across Rugby and surrounding villages. For many clients, small acts like helping to get ready for church, preparing for a family gathering, or even putting on a little makeup can offer a real lift. When a client feels confident in their appearance and comfort, it often has a ripple effect on their mood, energy, and outlook. That’s why we don’t just focus on hygiene or medication, we focus on the person as a whole, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and completely themselves every single day.

Promoting good personal hygiene helps to prevent illness and the spread of infection. It also helps maintain self-confidence and dignity.
A familiar care professional matched with you provides personalised care and support to you in your own home in the way you want it to be provided.
We understand that it can be difficult accepting personal care and that is why you will be introduced to your Care Professionals and they will spend time getting to know you before assisting you with your personal care.
At Home Instead we ensure that each client has a small team of Care Professionals in place to provide you with care so you can be confident that you will have continuity from the same Care Professionals.
At Home Instead, we have a robust approach to ensuring that all Care Professionals have regular observations of practice that we call Support Visits, and assessments of competency for key activities such as handling medication or providing catheter care.
Enable your loved ones to continue to live their life with the support of the Rugby team. If you would like more information about our high quality Personal Care service, please call us on 01455247100, or fill out the form below.
