Keeping on top of the house can become more difficult as we get older, but that doesn’t mean people stop caring about their home environment. At Home Instead Rugby, our home help and housekeeping service offers practical, respectful support to make daily life a little easier, without taking over. From keeping the kitchen tidy to folding laundry, defrosting the freezer, or helping with weekly shopping, our Care Professionals work alongside each client to maintain comfort and routine. Every visit lasts at least an hour, allowing us to go beyond a checklist and take time to build trust, confidence, and conversation as we go.

We believe it’s the small, thoughtful touches that make a big difference. That’s why our team pays attention to the little preferences that make a house feel like home – whether it’s using a favourite cleaning product, laying out the morning paper just right, or helping organise bills over a cup of tea. Our Home Help service is designed to blend naturally into the rhythm of the day, offering just the right amount of support while preserving independence. For clients who need nutritional support, we also offer help with planning and preparing meals, guided by input from our in-house team to ensure health, variety, and enjoyment at every step.
We offer two types of home care: hourly care, where we visit at set times, or live-in care, where a carer resides in the home. Our Care Professionals are trained in safe and effective housekeeping practices, as well as broader wellbeing and safety awareness. That includes infection control, lifting and handling, safe storage of food, and navigating common hazards like trip risks or cluttered walkways. Many of our team members have medical or care backgrounds, and all receive ongoing supervision and support from a senior office team who know the local community well. Whether it’s supporting someone recovering from surgery or providing steady support for everyday needs, we work with sensitivity and care. Because a clean, calm home can be the foundation for better health and happiness.
We’re proud to be part of the Rugby community and often go above and beyond traditional home help tasks by connecting clients to trusted local services when extra support is needed. That might mean recommending a reliable handyman, setting up a video call with a loved one, or helping someone get to the post office or market. When clients prefer to stay home, we bring the outside world in – sharing updates, celebrating small moments, or playing a favourite radio station while tidying up. With Home Instead, home help is never just about chores; it’s about creating space for independence, joy, and dignity, right where people feel most comfortable.
