The Rugby Day Care team, here to help every step of the way
Our day care service in Rugby offers a flexible, personal alternative to traditional day centres – bringing structure, joy, and meaningful connection into the comfort of home. Whether someone is managing memory loss, recovering from illness, or simply needs stimulation and routine, we tailor each visit to suit their interests, abilities, and energy levels. Every day is shaped around the individual, not the clock, and our one-hour minimum visits ensure there’s time to build rapport, engage properly, and create positive, uplifting moments. It’s all part of our mission to help people live well at home, with the confidence and support they deserve.

Get in touch Why Day Care may be right for you
What makes our day care so special is its complete individuality. We take time to pair each client with a Care Professional who shares similar interests – whether that’s music, gardening, crafts, or a love of local history. Activities might include gentle exercise, puzzles, baking, or even planning a short outing to a favourite café. Some clients prefer quiet conversation and reminiscing, while others enjoy light support while continuing to manage their daily tasks. The beauty of our approach is its flexibility; we meet each person where they are and focus on boosting emotional wellbeing, independence, and joy through purposeful interaction.

Initially, my mum was a bit dubious about having carers, but very quickly she was reassured by their caring and thoughtful attitude. They are always on time and use initiative and common sense to help my mum (92) live independently in her home. My mum has two carers and they have built a fantastic relationship with her and are always respectful. I would highly recommend Home Instead as they really do provide a valuable service that gives reassurance and support to people so they can continue living in their homes.

Although the date suggests I’m reviewing January, I’d like to write a general review of the care my mum has received over the 6-7 years she has been with Home Instead.
As a family we cannot praise the company highly enough. All the care pros are very kind and caring and mum loves all of the girls! The office staff are always helpful and try to support mum in any way they can.
Over the last couple of years mum has had a couple of health issues which the care pros are always willing to help out with or provide care at a minute notice in some cases. In a recent problem the visiting doctor praised the carer who was with mum, as providing an excellent service.

Excellent service from all members of the Home Instead Team. My mum returned home following a stay in hospital and convalescence in a care home. An initial assessment ensured everything was in place for the transfer home. The care plan was based on a realistic assessment of support and need that was well documented and clear. It is reassuring and helpful that the Birdie app provides me detailed reports at various times of the day. The Care Pro is very experienced and professional. She has worked hard to establish a positive relationship with Mum and the rest of the family. I am sure that her care and support has contributed to Mum’s gradual recovery and helped her to rebuild her confidence and independence. A great thing about Home Instead is that it offers a consistent and flexible service that responds to the client’s needs.

The staff based in the office were always courteous and knowledgeable and always returned our calls if required to do so.
The carers were always prompt and presentable and looked after my mother in a professional and friendly manner.
In the three years my mother was cared for we never had any query relating to the monthly invoices.

I cannot speak highly enough about the Home Instead (Rugby) team. Nothing was too much for them and the exemplary standard of care was so reassuring for me as I live 150 miles away. Sadly, both Mum and Dad passed within nine months of each other but it was such a comfort knowing they were being so well cared for in their own home right up to their passing.
Nigel M

The Home Instead team who help with mum and dads care are really wonderful, reliable, responsive, respectful and relational. They go out of their way to contribute to my parents happiness comfort and well being. I can’t praise them highly enough.
Naomi B

The caregivers showed empathy, were always supportive, understanding of Mum’s condition and very respectful of our family home. They communicated well with Mum to discuss her daily needs and treated her with respect and dignity. They carried out their duties carefully and efficiently.

When my aunt needed more home care support, we looked around a number of agencies and chose Home Instead (Rugby) based on the reviews online, the CQC report we read and the initial enquiries and engagement with the Management Team. The continuity and standard of care over nearly three years before my aunt needed to go into residential care as her frailty increased, was exceptional, such that they felt more like family.

My Dad needed someone to spend time with him, talking, taking him out and such. He has a brain injury and finding someone that understood his complex needs has been challenging and upsetting at times. We know when Dad isn’t happy….he tells us in no uncertain terms! But he has had nothing but good things to say about his experience with Home Instead.

Home Instead have a friendly, flexible and professional approach to their care of Mum. They took time to get to know us as a family, involving us in creating a detailed plan as well as a set of goals to work towards. The carers are so kind and understanding as well as (importantly) capable and resilient when it has been necessary for them to be firmer.
Louise P

Professional, efficient, friendly, well-managed, informative, caring, consistent, knowledgeable, pro-active, sensible, respectful; How do you describe the fantastic team at Home Instead? from top to bottom, all the above are applicable and allowed for Mum to remain safe, happy and independent until her last few weeks. Without them, neither we, or she would have managed.
Heartfelt thanks.
Ruth F

Very friendly and efficient. Nothing too much trouble.
Organised home visits from my Gp’s (district nurses, physio, doctor).
Extremely helpful and caring and all contributing to my transition from hospital and nursing home.
Rita E

The care was exemplary with time taken to learn about my dad, his likes, dislikes, what was important to him and how he needed to remain in control of his decisions, right up until his last hours. Therefore dad felt able to trust the care team. His acceptance grew to a warmth for not just the caregivers but also the manager and the admin team who did all they could to help him realise his need to remain at home and die with all that he loved around him.

Home Instead visit my mum twice a day. They not only keep her company for a couple of hours, they try to ensure she maintains some of the activities she loves by taking her out to charity shops and antique fairs and for regular visits to cafes. They treat my mum with respect and even though she can be quite awkward as a result of her dementia they’re always calm and patient without patronising her and keep a sense of humour at all times. In addition, they do a great job with my mum’s 5-year-old Labrador – as well as ensuring he’s fed at his usual time, they’ve taught him new tricks and often play ball with him in the garden. He’s so excited when they arrive it’s a joy to watch. They are 100% reliable and keep the clients well informed via the app adding photos when appropriate. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Home Instead Rugby team have been caring for both my father first for years and now my mother. The care providers are all brilliant and genuinely care about the clients and their jobs. They go above and beyond for my mum and have been really thoughtful. The communication between them and myself is fantastic and I feel I have their eyes and ears on the situation when I can’t be there as I live too far away. We have a great relationship with all the team which gives me and my mum peace of mind. The office staff are also fantastic and it’s a very efficient operation. There is an app which I can review daily which is also super easy and good to read. All in all, I feel that Mum is cared for and I am supported so couldn’t ask for more.
Julia P

Excellent communication from carers and the staff in the office. I can’t speak highly enough of the ladies who visit mum. They are angels. I would highly recommended them to anyone considering a care option.
Stephen F

On my mother-in- laws package we have 3 regular carers. They have all built really positive relationships with her. They come promptly and look after her with respect and dignity. She really values their support and it has helped us too. Thank you for all your support.
Alison D

Since having Home Instead in with helping my mum I have noticed such a difference in her.
She looks forward to the visits of these lovely ladies who help her, get her up showered, and change.
They make her bed and Put in her washing.
Get her breakfast and mug of tea Glass of water.
Make her a lunch.
They have a great approach for care and go above and beyond.
They also help with odd jobs.
Mum has said how wonderful they all are.
The difference in my mum is amazing.
She’s happier knowing she has the help.
Always on time chatty and helpful.
I recommend Home Instead Rugby to anyone.

Home Instead have been providing support for our dad twice a day for over a year and the overall experience has been outstanding.
Communication between the team is excellent – nothing is missed and they always notify the family if they have a concern. It feels like we work as a team together. We know Dad is being looked after when we cannot be there and he likes the 3 caregivers he has. They are very reliable and the level of care given is excellent.
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.
Helen C

Home Instead have transformed both my mom’s and my own life journey. All their staff are kind, caring, respectful and diligent.
Although they are healthcare professionals they integrate into being part of our family. I cannot thank them enough for the help and care they provide to us. All care should be delivered in this way.
Ray H

Such an amazing experience from day one. Great management team who are dedicated and involved. The care team were amazing and well-matched. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they all went above and beyond.
I would recommend Home Instead in a heartbeat.

Families often tell us just how much of a difference regular, personalised day care makes. One daughter-in-law shared: “Excellent service from caregiver and office staff. Communication with office staff and the caregivers is very easy.” Another family member wrote: “I found Home Instead to be professional and caring from the beginning. The carers treated my mum with dignity and she became very fond of them.” These testimonials reflect what we hear every day: that having someone friendly and capable spend time with a loved one can lift the whole family’s spirits, restore balance, and provide a sense of normality again.
