Friendship Lunches in Rotherham: A Good Meal with New Friends

At Home Instead in Rotherham, we are passionate about promoting social connections and combating loneliness among our clients and the local community. That’s why we sponsor and support Friendship Lunches with our trained staff. Attendees can enjoy a delicious meal, engage with live entertainment, and forge new friendships. These events are held at various locations throughout Rotherham and the surrounding area, offering a fun and relaxed atmosphere for everyone.

Friendship Lunches are not only an opportunity to share a meal but also a chance to reconnect with old acquaintances and make new friends. One heartwarming story from a recent event involved two ladies who discovered that one had been a bridesmaid for the other years ago. This special moment illustrates the power of these gatherings in renewing old friendships and creating new connections.

We encourage everyone who joins to participate in singing and dancing during the live entertainment, ensuring that everyone leaves with a smile on their face and a spring in their step.

In addition to Friendship Lunches, we also organise the Young at Heart social groups at the Drawbridge. These gatherings involve fun activities like bingo and quizzes, providing another opportunity for socialising and enjoyment.

Upcoming Friendship Lunches will be held at the following venues:

  • Sir Jack, Bramley on 6th June 2023.
  • The Royal Elephant, Dinnington on 30th May and 20th June 2023.
  • The Drawbridge, Kimberworth on 17th May and 14th June 2023.

The Young at Heart social groups will take place at the Drawbridge on 23rd May and 27th June.

If you or a loved one would like to join our Friendship Lunches or Young at Heart social groups, please book direct with the venue but if in difficulty or if you have questions don’t hesitate to call Debi at our office on 01709 837170. Debi will be happy to provide you with more information and inform you about upcoming events. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing a good meal with new friends!
