Carer helping an older woman to brush her teeth

At Home Instead Richmond, we are rated CQC outstanding for our excellent hourly care and companionship visits, but our support doesn’t stop there! We also provide specialist care for people living with a wide range of health conditions.

Everyone’s needs are different, and as we age, those needs can change over time. Whether you’re adjusting to a new diagnosis, recovering from an injury, or managing an existing condition, our care is thoughtfully tailored to support you every step of the way.

Specialist services we provide

We’re here to support people living with a range of conditions, including:

  • Parkinson’s: We offer gentle assistance with mobility, medication, and daily living.
  • Dementia & Alzheimer’s: Creating a safe, familiar space where your loved one can feel calm, comfortable, and secure is hugely important. This may include helping your loved ones attend dementia friendly events like Singing For The Brain.
  • Cancer Care: Flexible support throughout treatment, from a helping hand to being there for company during chemotherapy sessions.
  • Palliative Care: Compassionate end-of-life care focused on comfort, dignity, and respect.
  • Rehabilitation and Respite: Support after illness or surgery, at places like Richmond Royal Hospital, to help rebuild strength and confidence. Our Respite Care Service gives family carers a well-deserved break from their duties, whilst ensuring they know their loved ones are in safe hands.

Our Care Professionals are specially trained, so they can provide thoughtful, responsive care every step of the way.

Tailored care for every client

We understand that needs don’t stay the same, so our care is designed to be flexible and adaptable.
As situations change, we can adjust the support your loved one receives, whether this is increasing, decreasing, pausing for hospital visits and even transitioning to live-in care to ensure comfort, safety, and peace of mind.

We are great at working alongside your healthcare teams to ensure you get whatever you need at home, including medication, meals, and rest.

Rehabilitation support in Richmond often includes gentle, supported activity outside the home. This may involve short walks in local green spaces such as Richmond Park, helping clients improve mobility, maintain independence, and support overall well-being during recovery.

How do we help clients stay safely at home with Parkinson's?

Many of our clients enjoy the independance of staying at home with Parkinson’s, and we can help to put the right support in place.

According to Parkinson’s UK, around one person is diagnosed with Parkinsons every 20 minutes. While a diagnosis can feel overwhelming, many people continue to live well at home for years with the right care.

Our specially trained Care Professionals can help with daily routines and medication while working alongside your healthcare team. For those who want to attend local community groups, like the Richmond Parkinson’s UK support group, we can be a great companion, helping you maintain independence, stay connected to your community, and reduce the risk of hospital visits.
