Six Wins In Six Years For Home Instead Team!
Home Instead Senior Care Redditch and Bromsgrove has won an award for being one of the Top 20 home care providers in the West Midlands. There are 1,006 home care providers in the region and this is the sixth time they have won this award.
The award is based on the home care provider’s reviews from the people they care for, plus their friends and relatives. homecare.co.uk is a reviews site, that lists all registered UK home care providers, which helps people search for the right home care provider.
Annie Dixon-Dunn, owner of Home Instead Senior Care Redditch and Bromsgrove, said: “This is the sixth time we have won this award, and given that we’ve been running for seven years of business, it’s a fantastic achievement for us.
“It has been a challenging few months with the pandemic, but our caregivers have gone the extra mile to ensure that older people are happy and safe at home, which has never been more crucial.”
Annie continued, “An empathetic nature, passion for the role, and a genuine desire to make a difference to the community are all vital traits to be a caregiver. I’m delighted that their hard work is being recognised yet again through this award.”
Amanda Hopkins, reviews manager of homecare.co.uk, said: “High quality home care is crucial as it enables people to stay living in their own homes and keep their independence, with their home care worker often becoming their friend and companion as well as their lifeline to the outside world.
“During the pandemic, their contribution has been invaluable as many vulnerable and elderly people have been forced to self-isolate and to some of these, care workers have been their only link with the rest of society. They have also been able to bring people living at home, food and the medication they desperately need.
“Home Instead Senior Care Redditch and Bromsgrove has shown that it provides care that is of excellent quality and we would like to congratulate it on being one of the top home care providers in the West Midlands.”
One of the reviews of Home Instead reads: “Mum has been having carers twice per day for three years now. The ladies that come from Home Instead have become more like friends to her. They are always respectful and caring towards her. They make sure she has her medication, keep on top of housework, make sure she is eating and cook her meals, spend time in conversation with her and alert us whenever they think she is becoming unwell. More than this, when her hearing aid broke, the carer made sure this was fixed quickly and when a wasp nest was found, she organised for the council to deal with it.
“Even though I am there several times per week, this has meant that I know when I am not there she is being cared for and watched over in a supportive manner. At times, when she has been unwell, I have had to ask for an increase in support with very short notice. This has been put in place within 24 hours. Without this input, I truly believe my Mum's health would have deteriorated very quickly. I would be very happy to recommend Home Instead.”
Home Instead takes a unique, person-centred approach to home care, which benefits both clients and the team. Clients are supported to live as independently as possible, by caregivers that they come to know well and who visit for a minimum of an hour at a time.
Home Instead Redditch & Bomsgrove cares for clients locally, but also cares for clients who live in Alcester, Studley, Henley in Arden, Rubery, Longbridge and Northfield.
