Edna & Barbara Honoured With Purple Plaque

We are so proud to announce that two of our wonderful clients have been featured in Home Instead’s national Purple Plaque Campaign. Recognising the outstanding contributions that our elderly community has made to this country in honour of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Our mission is to expand the world’s capacity to care, working alongside families and Care Pros to champion quality of life into older age. As the country’s leading home care provider, we see it as a responsibility and a privilege to spark debates around ageing and this one – centred on ageism – highlights how important it is to recognise the continuing achievements of older people.

Seeing Barbara and Edna’s name featured along side names like Charles Dickens and Emmeline Pankhurst is somewhat of an emotional moment for us here at team Redditch and Bromsgrove, and truly bought home to us the outstanding contributions that they have bought to our local community.

Barbara is a standout figure in the Alvechurch community, having co-authored a book on the local community. While, Edna took the petition to Downing Street which resulted in the Alexandra Hospital being built.

What a privilege it is for us to care for these inspirational women.
