Home Instead was recommended to me and when I enquired about their services I had a very comprehensive telephone consultation and then had an excellent needs assessment meeting with my father and brother present. The meeting was very useful for us as a family to help us identify needs and ongoing support.
Azra N (Daughter of Client)

My Aunt had this service for just over 4 years and I can’t praise or thank them enough for their wonderful care. From the care staff, office staff and manager, their support and consideration of my Aunt’s needs was always excellent and very often above the call of duty. This is a 6-star service!
Elaine M (Niece of Client)

From our very first contact with Home Instead, everyone has been highly professional and thoughtful, putting my parents at the centre of all you did. Everyone in the office always responded quickly and efficiently to our phone calls and requests. The Caregivers always arrived promptly, they are well briefed and highly professional and caring.
Candice D (Daughter of Client)

I would thoroughly recommend Home Instead. Earlier this year my Mum was left on her own and needed more company than the family could provide. The manager at Home Instead visited us in Mum’s garden and spent a lot of time chatting to Mum, assessing her needs, getting to know her and discussing how Mum could be helped.
Elizabeth P (Daughter of Client)

The carer has provided a consistently excellent service. He is thoughtful and sees potential problems before they result in mishaps. He willingly takes on any task and above all is always cheerful and therefore cheering.
Hilary C (Wife of Client)

An adaptable, flexible and coordinated approach to providing care for persons wishing to remain in their home, but need support. Good communication with family to facilitate this. High level of common sense and level headed approach in handling changing and critical situations. Helpful and cooperative attitude.
Helen F (Daughter of Client)

My mother’s life has been transformed. She has grown in confidence and very much enjoys the company and help given by the Home Instead carers. They are always cheerful, reliable and friendly and they go out of their way to make life comfortable and enjoyable for her.
Susan C (Daughter of Client)

I have found Home Instead (Redbridge & Walthamstow) to be a well run, professional company in which I have great confidence. The caring staff are competent, caring and diligent in their work and thorough in their reporting of all that they are doing in the daily log. All of the administrative and supervisory staff who I have dealt with have always been courteous, efficient and very helpful. In conclusion, I am very pleased to have found Home Instead as an organisation that I can trust to give the very best of care to my sister.
Martin B (Brother of Client)

We were made aware of Home Instead in November 2019 as a way to give Mum and I some help with looking after Dad at home who was diagnosed with Vascular dementia and it was important for him to get to know his carers before his memory prevented this. The manager visited my parents and took their needs into careful consideration and immediately knew which caregivers he would ask to visit. They have been absolutely perfect, so kind and considerate and always treated Dad with the dignity and respect he deserved whilst supporting my mum too. Dad loved humour and the caregivers enjoyed a joke with him right up until the end, they became his friends.
Nicola W (Daughter of Client)

The carers who visit my elderly parents are caring, hard-working and very personable. Nothing is too much trouble and my parents have benefited from them both physically and mentally. They keep the house clean, help with exercises given by their physiotherapist, take them for walks and take time to chat with them socially. Their quality of life has definitely improved.
Lisa W (Daughter of Client)

Home Instead (Redbridge & Walthamstow) was recommended to me by a relative approximately eighteen months ago to offer care and support to my ninety two year old father who has Vascular Dementia. Right from the beginning, this company took time and effort to put a small team of caregivers together to assist in his care. My dad had four wonderful caregivers who each brought something different to his quality of life and he really benefited from getting to know each one individually. He referred to them as his “friends” and looked forward to their visits. The small team was crucial, in my opinion, to anyone with dementia and together with us his family and the ladies in the office, we really worked as a team to help my dad through some very difficult times. They were patient, kind, fun and engaged with my dad in conversation. The office ladies were always there for support and let you know when anyone different may be attending or if there was a delay for any reason. I would highly recommend them.
Diane C (Daughter of Client)

We cannot thank Home Instead enough for the superb support they provided for our 87-year-old mum, who has multiple needs including dementia. Every carer was chosen with care and they all did a fabulous job of taking good care of mum before she had to move into residential care as she needed 24-hour care. Mum loved her girls and misses them very much. Thank you for your amazing teamwork. Highly recommended.
Julie D (Daughter of Client)

Our use of the service was perhaps not typical; to start with my husband was extremely unwell, then he was absent from home on four weeks respite care, then when he returned he was very much better and needed less care. The caregivers were excellent in all they did, whether personal care or housework or companionship; they were really caring and interested in us. The contact with the management was impressive. The staff there were sympathetic and understanding of our situation, able and willing to adjust our contract to fit our changing needs, and so pleasant, helpful, efficient and interested.
All involved at the agency, whether managers or caregivers felt like friends. It was so good to find this level of service as previously we had to endure local authority contracted care agencies. In a way we are sad the contract has now ended as the level of care is not needed, but are sure that if it is needed in future we can with confidence make a new arrangement with this agency.
Deirdre P (Wife of Client)

I wish we’d called on them ages ago! My mother’s condition has been getting worse and I found that I was increasingly spending my time taking care of her, which was a struggle because of also having to take care of my job and family. Home Instead has been wonderful in making life so much easier by helping with the day-to-day things such as shopping and medication, as well as providing much-needed companionship. I have particularly appreciated their patience, compassion and competence throughout. This is with the initial introduction, matching my mum to caregivers and the ongoing support from the caregivers and the management.
I wanted to write this review both to show my appreciation but also because I had been apprehensive about employing carers, having heard the scare stories about carers on the news. Our experience with Home Instead has been wonderful and I wholeheartedly recommend them.
S R (Son of Client)

Home Instead has made such a difference to my mother’s quality of life. Mum’s main carer is fabulous and mum considers her a friend. She really goes out of her way to find things that will be of interest to mum and she cheers mum up no end.
The management are also fab. In the early stages, I had to reschedule meetings with Home Instead staff at very short notice due to issues with mum and they were completely understanding and full of advice. There is always communication about any staff holidays or slight changes. The admin staff have also been very helpful. Excellent service all round.
M E (Daughter of Client)

We have used Home Instead for 5 years and their continued support and care for Mum is outstanding. The same carer is provided every time and as Mum’s needs have increased, help has been provided. As my brother and I live some distance, we know we can rely on Mum’s carer to accompany her to hospital appointments as well as providing thoughtful care at home. She visits twice a week and does housework, washing and any other odd jobs that need doing i.e. sewing buttons on. She also provides companionship as Mum worries a lot and it helps her to have someone she trusts to talk to. Definitely more a friend than carer now.
V M (Daughter of Client)

Very reliable caring. Mum enjoys her visits.
Lorraine C (Daughter of Client)

Our care giver is very helpful. He is very cheerful and friendly and my husband who has dementia likes the care giver’s company
Jackie H (Wife of Client)

Care providers have varied and each has their own style, but four out of five times we have had the same one, who we like the most and has been exceptionally good and a real friend, providing just what was needed most – conversation and exercise for the client. She has always been ready to consider any other way of helping we might suggest.
W W (Husband of Client)

I am very pleased with all the carers who visit me and the concerns of the agency.
Barbara W (Client)

As my husband’s condition has deteriorated I have found the care and support of the carers priceless. They have not only cared for my husband but have provided emotional support and empathy to me.
Margaret D (Wife of Client)

Our family were so fortunate to find this care agency to help with the care of my father. We have been using the service for over 6 months now and throughout that time, my father has always had the same two carers visiting him. Both of them are warm, kind, caring, efficient and reliable – exactly what any family would want when they reach the point where support is needed for a loved one.
I would highly recommend this service.
Tina W (Daughter of Client)

Cannot fault the service and the carers provided, has been a great help for my dad and consequently myself as well. Extremely hard working but also spending time talking and socializing with Dad. Everything has been very professional and competent.
