Meet our Care Professional Helen

Want to know what it takes to be a Home Instead Care Professional? Find out all about our amazing Helen.

At Home Instead our Care Professionals come from all walks of life with different backgrounds and experiences.  What they have in common is kindness, compassion and a desire to make a difference in their local communities.

Helen joined Home Instead Pocklington & Brough as a Care Professional in 2023 and has quickly become a valuable member of the team.  A friend of Helen’s had been supported by Home Instead and spoke highly of us leading Helen to apply for the role.  Following her training Helen has been supporting clients around Market Weighton and Pocklington and we asked her a few questions about her experience.

What do you like most about Home Instead?

What has been your favourite moment as a Care Professional?

“So far, meeting new clients and gradually engaging with both them and their friends and family.”

What do you like to do away from work?

“I do lots of things. I’m a churchwarden for Yapham; a freelance classical pianist and piano teacher as well as carer for my elderly parents.  I love baking, doing up old furniture and the great outdoors.”
