Wimbledon Comes to Penarth Memory Café

In July, to celebrate Wimbledon taking place, Tom from Rise facilitated a marvellous tennis session.

The teams were Wales and Spain, and after a very competitive battle, Wales won by 2 points.

Everyone got to hold the winner’s cup as we were all worthy of being winners!

Louise our volunteer kept us all topped up with drinks and biscuits.

Tosin from Sight Cymru attended with his support worker David, to tell us about what help is in offer if we suffer from sight loss issues.

The big “take away” from his talk, was for us all to get our eyes checked regularly, so that any problems can be detected early on.

As a sight loss friendly care provider in Penarth and Barry, we can help people to continue to lead independent lives if they face sight loss issues.
