At June’s MenoPals meeting the group had a great peer support session. We gave out lists showing the top 20 symptoms experienced during Menopause, so everyone could count up how many they had experienced.
The numbers ranged from 6 – 19 in varying degrees of intensity. We then spent the rest of the session pooling the group’s combined wisdom and experience to see how to cope with each symptom in the list.
As not everyone is suited to HRT is was a good opportunity to take on board all the holistic options too. The group was really enjoyable and many said how nice it was not feel alone with it all.
We look forward to hearing how we have all managed implementing new coping strategies at our next session.
