In August at Platfform Effro’s Carer’s Support session, with Dementia friendly activities, we enjoyed a different style of creativity.
Whilst unpaid carers went off to another room for support, we enjoyed creating pictures with colourful dots.
We had a canvass supplied with an array of coloured oil paints and a pile of cotton buds.
Using the buds to apply the paint, a variety of different designs were achieved.
For those who wanted to mix things up, we could also use paintbrushes to add a different texture.
This was followed by a game of bowls, where the accuracy of some people, with superb eye to hand co-ordination, was very apparent.
We had refreshments throughout to keep our energy levels up and there was lots of singing along to songs playing away in the background.
We look forward to seeing everyone again for the last session in Sully.
