Fitness Fun!

At our Penarth Memory Café in April, Matt from Rise led a wonderful varied soft sports session to help us improve our fitness after our Easter chocolate feasts.

At our Penarth Memory Café in April, Matt from Rise led a wonderful varied soft sports session to help us improve our fitness after our Easter chocolate feasts.

The seated modified games included Rugby, Tennis, Football, Rowing and Weight Lifting.

There were two teams, “The Winners” and “John’s Girls” who battled for the winning spot – “John’s Girls” finally won but Tony on the opposing team was named “Man of the Match” for his excellent goal scoring skills.

We had Shannon Lee – Dementia Advocate from Age Cymru, with Ruth Caddy – Dementia Advisor from the Alzheimer’s Society as our professional guests available to give any extra advice or support needed.

There was plenty of time for chats and refreshments along with all of our of usual information on our resources table.

We look forward to seeing everyone again next month!
