3 Day Centres in Oxford

Day Centres are a great place to meet new people and where local seniors gather at times of support, We’re going to break down some of the few available in Oxford!

Oxford has a wealth of day centres available to everyone. Providing safe spaces for seniors to meet and partake in activities if they so wish they are great places to spend a day if you have the time. Oxford’s Day centres have at times also be at times used for respite for family members to take a break in caring for their loved ones. If you look hard enough it is likely that you will find a day centre in your local area and you won’t have to travel very far at all, sometimes there is also transport available for the times when a trip further afield into oxford may be more challenging. Aston & Cote Day Centre:

Aston & Cote Day Centre is one of Oxford’s many Day Centres offering our older population access to Day Centre Facilities. Providing a location where new friendships are made and old ones renewed, the day centre offers a range of activities that you can get involved in or if you simply wanted to chat and catch up that’s also an option too! Alongside this they serve a 2 course meal to enjoy and on top of this when you need it Aston & Cote Day Centre has an Information Hub where there are leaflets and samples of aids to make life easier around the home as well as representatives of local organisations are regularly invited to attend the Day Centre with information.

Witney Day Centre

A hugely popular Day Centre in the heart of the Town of Witney just outside of Oxford. Runn by Graeme & Linda Young and their team the Day Centre is often packed full of guests enjoying their activities and food on offer. Witney Day Centre has provided excellent Day Centre Services since 2018 with exciting activities and has had guests come to deliver sessions for them too. During periods of Lockdown in 2020 they expanded their services to offer a Meals on Wheels Service which has become highly popular. Witney Day Centre is truly one of the Oxford area’s most popular Day Services and it continues to be popular to this day!

Guideposts

On the 2nd & 4th Wednesday of the Month Guideposts runs their free Day Centre Which has become incredibly popular in Oxford’s Town of Witney. A small and friendly group meets to share in activities, friendships and more. Guideposts offer a wide range of support for people in Oxford with Learning Disabilities, complex mental health needs and dementia. Their aim is to keep people connected to the communities that they live in and live their best lives regardless of circumstances.
