At Home Instead Norwich, we believe in building not just a workforce, but a community of skilled, confident, and passionate people who deliver exceptional care in Norwich.
Apprenticeships are at the heart of that commitment, giving our team members the opportunity to develop professionally while making a difference every day to the lives of older people.
We are also proud to share that we have been awarded the 5 Star Employer Award and ranked number three in the Financial Times Best Employer Awards – clear recognition of the supportive, rewarding, and inspiring environment we work hard to create.
Apprenticeships open doors to knowledge, leadership skills, and a deeper understanding of the care sector. They provide an opportunity to earn while you learn, offering real-life experience alongside structured professional development.
For us, apprenticeships are not simply a training pathway – they are a foundation for building fulfilling careers. In the care sector, every skill learned and every qualification gained has a direct impact on the quality of life for older people in our community. By investing in our team, we are investing in better care and stronger support for the people we serve across Norwich.
Since the introduction of End Point Assessments, three of our office team have taken on the challenge of completing the Level 5 Leader in Adult Care Apprenticeship – and all three achieved the highest possible grade, a distinction.
Our Registered Manager, Ruth, Client Experience Manager, Verity, and our Care Professional Experience Lead, Rebecca, each committed themselves to months of rigorous learning, practical application, and assessment. Their success is a shining example of what dedication, support, and a passion for care can achieve.
With these new qualifications, they join three other team members who have also achieved this prestigious award, meaning that six of our team now hold this advanced leadership qualification. This depth of expertise strengthens our leadership capacity and ensures we continue to set the standard for care in Norwich.
Our training provider, t2 group, played a vital role in our apprenticeship success. Learners received monthly tutor meetings, expert-led workshops and access to subject specialists. Managers could track progress through t2 group’s online platform, ensuring learners stayed on course and had the right support when needed.
“We’re incredibly proud of the learners at Home Instead Norwich and the results they’ve achieved. It’s been a pleasure to support such a motivated team through their development journey. Seeing learners gain a Distinction is a testament to their hard work and the strength of the partnership we’ve built together.” — Anthony David, Managing Director, t2 group
Having six qualified leaders in adult care means more than just certificates on a wall – it means having a team who understand how to lead, inspire, and innovate. This expertise supports the professional growth of colleagues, enhances the quality of care we provide, and improves the employment experience for everyone on our team.
It also sends a clear message to anyone considering a career in care: with us, you will be supported to achieve your goals and to build a truly fulfilling career.
We will continue to champion apprenticeships, training opportunities, and professional development for all roles across our organisation. Whether someone joins us as a Care Professional, a coordinator, or in a leadership role, we are committed to helping them reach their full potential.
Our goal remains simple – to deliver the very best care for older people, to be an outstanding employer in Norwich, and to create opportunities that change lives. With our recent achievements, the 5 Star Employer Award, and our national recognition from the Financial Times, we know we are on the right path.
