Come Singing

The come singing group is run by Heather and is held at the Millennium Library at the Forum and at the Earlham Library both situated in Norwich.

Come singing offers a welcome break from isolation and helps to boost confidence and well-being including those with dementia. Earlham Library is close to the University Of East Anglia which offers some beautiful campus trail walks. The six trails, newly waymarked in 2020 to coincide with the Sportspark’s 20th birthday celebrations, have been implemented for students, staff and the local community to explore the University Campus and learn more about it wildlife and heritage.

Knit, Stitch and Natter

Knit and Natter is held at the Hellesdon Library in Norwich. If offers ample parking with disability access.

This free event is for anyone from complete novices or for the more experienced in knitting and crochet. No need to book, just turn up! This runs every week on a Monday between 10:00-12:00. If your feeling peckish after your activity, The Bull in Hellesdon is just around the corner which have a range of vegan and vegetarian options for all.

Learn To Play Bowls

The County Arts bowls club in Sprowston offers an Indoor and Outdoor bowls club and have the best 6 rink outdoor green in Norfolk.

They have a lively social calendar throughout the year and plenty of activities that keep non players busy all year round. Fancy a bite to eat after? Why don’t you head to Sprowston Mannor Hotel, Golf and Country Club and visit their Club House, which is a relaxed environment to grab a bite to eat and a drink.

Baking for wellbeing

Baking for wellbeing is held at The Shoe Box on Castle Meadow in Norwich city centre and is for all ages.

These wellbeing courses can help bring people together and build a community whilst learning new skills. The courses are for people with all abilities who want to bake together in a fun an inclusive environment.

If you, a family member, or a friend are looking for a friendly group in Taverham that will support someone living with dementia or memory loss this group may be ideal.

It is situated in Taverham Library and takes place on the Last Monday of every month from 10:30-12:30. If you don’t want the fun to stop there, why not visit the Taverham Garden Centre which has a Deli, Aquatics, indoor and outdoor plans offers a range of different foods and drinks at Magnolias restaurant.
