Last month our CEO, Martin Jones MBE attended a reception at No.10 Downing Street, hosted by the Minister for Care, Helen Whately MP and the Department of Health and Social Care.
Ms Whately was accompanied by the Chief Nurse for Adult Social Care, Deborah Sturdy CBE.
The reception was held to recognise and thank the 1.6m member of the social care workforce and we were delighted that a number of Care Professionals from the Home Instead network had also been invited to attend.
Other guests included representatives from the homecare and care home sectors.
Speaking about the event, Martin said, “It is always great to collaborate and network with peers from across the sector and spend time with care workers who are very much at the front line of care.
“Many thanks to Jane Townson at the Homecare Association and her team who put in a huge effort to make arrangements for the event.”
