Home Instead and Melin Homes Spread Easter Joy

Home Instead and Melin Homes join together to spread some Easter joy to the residents across Gwent with chocolate treats bursting at the seams.

Alan Hughes and his team Helen and John were in fine form as Home Instead Community Engagement Officer Nicola Masters joined them at Ty Cae Nant in Cwmbran which is an extra care facility for individuals who need additional support. The team got together to create some Easter fun with some quizzes which consisted of a picture quiz and one that had an Easter theme with residents winnng treats and spot prizes for winning answers.  Taking the residents back to a well known game of ‘Play your Cards Right’ with a two year record to beat the challenge was set with Home Instead smashing it with a grand score of 18 winning cards.  Easter eggs were handed out to all of the residents by Home Instead and which were donated by Tiny Rebel and Whitehead Building Services which put a smile on everyones face.  The following day Home Instead joined Melin Homes at St Mary’s Court in Baneswell which is an indepenent living facility and which has a real warm community feel. We arrived to bacon butties, tea and a raffle the residents had organised with the fun beginning with a quiz, and even the boys and glirls in blue were on hand to support the residents and even stopped for a cheeky photograph.
