Supporting Family Carers in Newcastle

Here at Home Instead, we don’t just support our clients, but the whole family. Professional care can fit in between the care that you as a family provide for your loved one, offering extra support where needed, and respite for family carers.

Our Take Care campaign, which got coverage in the Daily Mail, highlighted how many family carers are struggling with their responsibilities. Due to the surge in an elderly population, 5 million people provided unpaid care in 2021, with 1.5 million people doing 50+ hours weekly.

We are here to help alleviate the pressure of families and make a difference. Respite care gives the professional care and compassion that you would expect, so you can relax and take the time you need for respite, knowing your loved one is in the best care.

We have recently been able to help a local family with their parents care support, where our Care Professional’s and on call team were at hand to help with whatever was needed. Our client relative mentions she ‘was regularly updated by phone and text, which was really helpful, and enable her to make sensible decisions about what to do and when’. ‘The care and concern was fantastic throughout’. We don’t do our work for the feedback, but when we receive comments like this we are extremely proud of our team. Being able to support our local community in this way is something we are proud to do.
