Book Clubs are a great way for older people to socialise and have a hobby, and they have the added benefit of helping to maintain communication skills through aging. Reading books draws out personal opinions, and book clubs are designed to listen and discuss those with the group. There’s also the opportunity to learn new things , get a renewed perspective and improve your mental health!

  • Gosforth Library Reading Group. 1st Tuesday of the month, 4.45-5.45pm.
  • Newcastle City Library Knit and Natter. Wednesdays 11am-1pm.
  • Gosforth Library Knit and Natter. Wednesdays 11am-12pm.
  • East End Library Knit and Natter. Thursdays 11am-12pm.
  • Newcastle City Library Need to Read Group. 3rD Thursday of the month, 5.30-6.30pm.
  • Fenham Library Knit and Natter. Fridays 1-3pm.
