Cindy’s story is one of dedication, compassion, and growth. She began her career with Home Instead as a Care Professional, delivering person-centred care in clients’ homes in 2020. Whether she was supporting someone living with dementia or providing companionship to ease loneliness, Cindy approached every client with warmth and respect.
Her passion for care, combined with her natural ability to build trust, led her to become a Care Coordinator, supporting both clients and our team of Care Professionals. Now, five years on as Deputy Care Manager, Cindy plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our service, supporting the team, and upholding our high standards of care.
What makes Cindy’s approach so special is how she draws on her experience as a Samaritan Volunteer at Director level. In that role, Cindy provided a listening ear to people in distress—offering emotional support without judgment, helping them feel heard, and guiding them toward hope.
These skills are invaluable in her role at Home Instead:
Cindy knows how important it is to really listen—to clients, families, and team members. Whether a family is worried about their loved one’s safety, or a Care Professional is seeking advice, Cindy ensures they feel heard and understood.
Supporting families who are navigating care decisions can be emotional and overwhelming. Cindy’s calm and empathetic manner helps reassure families, offering practical solutions while respecting their feelings and wishes.
Cindy understands the power of emotional connection in care. She helps ensure our clients feel safe, valued, and respected—because good care isn’t just about practical tasks; it’s about supporting the whole person.
