Home Instead Support Local Als Pals Charity
Al’s Pals is a service offered to all cancer patients. Set up by a beloved daughter who’s father Alan Dumbell received cancer treatment at Milton Keynes University Hospital.
Throughout treatment Alan often spoke about having a “buddy” to support. He was lucky to be surrounded by his loving family, however sadly this isn’t the case for everyone.
It was Alan’s legacy to have such a scheme like this, and through his daughters dedication and passion, she made it become a reality.
The charity’s goal is to be emotional, befriending and advocacy support to cancer patients and their families both in the hospital and home.
Home Instead have worked closely with Als Pals for the last two years, supporting with hosting raffles and raising essential funds for the Charity.
When Als Pals promoted their “wear red” day the Home Instead Team were happy to get involved, anything to help raise awareness for this amazing cause.
