Testimonials

"Home Instead do exactly what we wanted them to do – provide support & ensure all is well on days when I do not visit. The carer has established a very good personal relationship with father & I have peace of mind. All in all a very good, reliable service." ’’

"May I say how much I have appreciated the care your organisation has provided over the past year which has meant my mother has been able to stay in her own home much longer than otherwise."

Mrs JW, Burnham

Mr TP, Maidenhead

Mr JS, Henley

"Home Instead are excellent at helping mum keep her independence at home."

Mrs JC, daughter of our client Mrs MB, Maidenhead

"I am writing to express our enormous gratitude to CAREGiver V, who, of her own accord, came to visit my mother on the morning of Christmas Day, to help her get dressed, even though we hadn't booked any call. My mother & I both think that this was unbelievable & incredibly kind, & largely thanks to V, my mother was able to come to us for a couple of hours on Christmas day."

Mrs A, Mr P & Mr P, children of our client Mrs L, Maidenhead

"My mother was in the care of Home Instead for about 2 years. We started with one CAREGiver once a week who she thought of as a cleaner. By the time she went into a home, she had 4 CAREGivers a day. The CAREGivers ("her girls"), were without exception, caring, professional & kind. They were always on time & stayed the full hour to chat, which was vital to building a caring relationship. They did more than was required of them; she only had to mention chocolate & the CAREGiver would either go & get her some or bring it next time. One CAREGiver sorted out her bin collection & dealt with a spate of nuisance calls. The boss himself turned up one day with protective gloves & hand wash after my Mum got a nasty stomach bug. They kept myself & my brothers informed of any problems & used their initiative in emergencies. I trusted them completely & I can thoroughly recommend Home Instead. I've tried to keep this relatively short but I can't thank you enough for all your good work. It was a great relief to know she was in such safe hands."

Mrs AT, Maidenhead

"I would like to thank you for all your organisation has done for me since I left hospital & say I now feel able to cope on my own. I have received nothing but kindness from all your staff & would thank you again for your help."

Barry D, Cookham

"I think my CAREGiver is wonderful"

Mr JS, son of our client Mrs DS, Henley

"Home Instead have given my mother the perfect balance of care to stay at home & be independent. Mum would not suit a care environment & really feels that the Home Instead CAREGivers are like good friends looking after her. They provide me with the confidence that any problems will be looked after & followed through. Home Instead always call me to give updates & keep me informed."

Mrs PA-W: Power of Attorney for of our client: JW

"Jacqui was not only very organised but put a great deal of extra care and thought into the planning of the trip. She communicated with me about everything which made my job much easier and I had total confidence that not only would JW be safe but would have a great time - which she did.

I was also grateful that, although Jacqui had originally been asked to provide minimal care, I had asked her to be available all the time if possible - which she judged while away to be appropriate. I believe Jacqui's flexibility and judgement enabled the trip to be so successful and without any worry or anxiety for JW. I am sure Jacqui did far more than requested while away and her usual cheerfulness and care for JW reflects her very high professional standards and ensured a wonderful time for JW."

AB, relative to Mr MS, Binfield

"Since Home Instead started providing care in April 2015 his home life has improved considerably thanks to the continual attentiveness of staff from office to CAREGiver. As next of kin I cannot thank the whole team enough."

Mrs SA, daughter of our client Mrs ML, Twyford

"Always smiling, they take great care with details of medication. I trust them."

Mrs Joanne B, Maidenhead - Daughter of our client

"The carers are reliable, efficient and friendly providing consistent and excellent care. I would thoroughly recommend them."

Mrs P, Berkshire - Daughter of our client

"We wanted an agency who would give time & continuity for my mother. This has worked well. We have the same person each morning. This has given my mother confidence, friendship & much needed help. The minimum time of of visit of one hour is excellent. Her carer is a joy."

Mr DS, Sonning Common

"I thought I would write to you and express my thanks to your Company for the two Carers who have helped my wife, B over the last two years.

V was an absolute saviour to me when we had to take B into permanent care on Wednesday, without her help I don’t think I could have managed; in fact I know I couldn’t.

Again thanks to your Company, F and V who were fantastic."

Mrs H, Maidenhead

"May I thank you all, especially Sherry and Sue who helped Mum and made her daily living so comfortable and loving. My mum was a character and not always easy. Sherry was wonderful with her....Thank you all so much."

Mrs M of East Berkshire

” I really appreciate the care that has been given to Mum, and seeing how well and contented she is must be a testament to the way she is supported”……

Mrs R, Maidenhead, on behalf of her mum

I would like to provide a glowing testimonial to the team of CareGivers but in particular to celebrate the work of Lyndsay.

Her support to me is invaluable; little tasks she undertakes- like creating the weekly shopping list and emailing it across- have either saved me time or mum money. Larger jobs are undertaken willingly and are well executed.

Lyndsay has never experienced any problems over meals, cooks from scratch and with consideration of mum’s diet and choices. I think this is because she took time to find out and quickly realised what mum’s preferences were and how her own approach might impact. Mum is now eating well and regularly. By joining mum at the table Lyndsay has been able to make lunch a pleasure again, including treats from time to time!

Mrs IE, Maidenhead

"I’d like to express my gratitude and satisfaction with the way your worker Lindsay takes care of me. I’m not an easy person to deal with because I’m a foreigner with a problem of health (Diabetes). Lindsay has a very tender and attentive personality and she tries anything to make my problems easier. Though my English isn’t fluent I don’t feel any problems in communication with her and she helps me with all my problems and troubles. She is all the time so cheerful and she knows so much, this makes me forget my problems."

Mrs JP, Chelmsford

"It goes without saying that I would have no hesitation in recommending your services. Mary's care was obviously helping her at the end of her life and my only wish is that I'd found Home Instead sooner. For someone like Mary who was used to independent living, having limited help early on would have made it easier to build this up when she needed more. That's not how it happened for her but hopefully care for the elderly will change with organisations such as yours helping to make a change. My grateful thanks go to you and the team for all that you did for Mary, her pets and our family. We wouldn't have been able to help Mary stay safe and well in her own home without you".

Mrs DD, Maidenhead

"I am writing to say a big thank you to Home Instead for the care that you gave to my Grandmother over over the past few months. Sherry, my Gran’s appointed carer, has proved to be reliable, trustworthy and also very caring. I would like to say a big thank you to Sherry from myself and my family for all of her help. I know that this has made the past few months a lot easier for my Grandma knowing that Sherry was coming to see her. As my Gran suffers from a mixed dementia I know that the visits were sometimes difficult but Sherry never let this show and was a real trooper at all times. Now that Gran has moved in to residential care I wanted to take this opportunity to say that I would unreservedly recommend Home Instead to any friends or relatives who may need someone to help them with care in the future."

Mrs H, Stafford

"I would like to thank you and your team very much for arranging a very suitable carer/companion for my husband, B during his respite stay at Flint House. Goring-on-Thames. From the onset of my enquiry, I found you understood perfectly what our requirements were and felt very assured when you asked for details of B's lifestyle, likes and dislikes etc. We were also very glad to meet Wendy beforehand, which reassured us for the week ahead. Wendy was very attentive and cared for B perfectly, she maintained B's dignity at all times, was an excellent carer and a perfect companion and we would like you to pass on our thanks to her. We thank you once again for arranging such good care."

Mrs W, Maidenhead

"Trying to ensure a high standard of care is provided to an elderly parent can be a minefield. Until we contacted Home Instead we had previously employed two organisations who were unable to provide staff continuity, reliability or staff who were sufficiently well trained. Home Instead has been a really refreshing experience in comparison. The Manager took time and care to really try and understand our father’s needs and to match him with Sue, his carer. Sue provides an excellent service by taking time to talk to and listen to my Dad; she is trained in how to work with people with dementia so understands how to relate to him. The Manager is regularly in touch to let us know if there is anything we need to be aware of, meaning we have peace of mind. Dad has regular company when the family are working and unable to be there as often as we would wish, which is reassuring for us. Home instead takes a truly thoughtful and personalised approach to elderly care. I could not hesitate to recommend them."
