Home care in Derby

We provide home care in Derby and the surrounding areas, including Allestree and Mickleover, helping older adults stay comfortable and independent in their own homes. Because everyone manages differently, we take time to understand how a person likes to live and carefully tailor the care around their routines, preferences and needs. As those needs change, we can adjust the type or amount of support we provide.

Trusted, Personalised Home Care in Derby

Our visits are never rushed and last at least an hour, so there is time to help properly and sit down for a proper chat. What that hour holds depends on the person. For one client it may be a little extra help getting up and ready in the morning, keeping on top of the washing and preparing a nutritious lunch. For another it might be support with medication, a hand with the shopping and some good company over a cup of tea, made just how they like it. Many of our Care Professionals drive, so we can help clients get to a hospital appointment, meet friends, or spend an afternoon at Markeaton Park. We are fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission, and every Care Professional is employed and trained by us, with extensive training in areas including dementia and Parkinson's.

Our Care Starts With Connection

Continuity is one of the most important parts of the care we provide, because seeing the same Care Professionals regularly allows a much better understanding of the person to develop over time. We keep each client’s team small wherever possible and take care over who supports them, considering personality and shared interests alongside the experience needed to provide the right care. As that relationship develops, our Care Professionals come to understand someone’s routines, what they enjoy, how they like things done and where they value some extra help. They can then support the person in a way that encourages independence, whether that is helping them get ready for the day, preparing a meal together or giving them the time and confidence to continue doing things for themselves. Knowing someone well can also make it easier to recognise when something is different from usual, such as a change in appetite, mobility or mood. Our Care Professionals can raise those changes with the family and our local team, so the care can be reviewed if needed.

Our Derby Team is With You Through Every Step

When choosing a care agency in Derby, many families value having a local team that manages the care and remains closely involved once it begins. We employ and train our Care Professionals, organise the visits, manage the rotas and arrange cover when someone is unavailable, so families do not have to coordinate those arrangements themselves. Because the same local office stays involved, families have people they can speak to who already know their relative and understand the care in place. Our team can review the support as circumstances change, make any necessary adjustments and work with the family throughout, leaving relatives with more time to focus on being a son, daughter, partner or friend rather than organising the care themselves.
