Claude's 100th birthday!

Congratulations to Claude, who joined his wife Margaret as a centenarian this month.

Happy 100th birthday from all of us at Home Instead in Crosby, it is a privilege to be part of your life. We were delighted to deliver birthday greetings and share this special birthday yesterday with Claude and his wife Margaret of 76 years yesterday. 🎉🥳

Some stats from the Office for National Statistics:

  • In 2022, there were an estimated 15,120 centenarians living in England and Wales; an increase of 3.7% from 2021.
  • The number of centenarians has more than doubled since 2002 (including a doubling of the numbers aged 105 years and over from 300 in 2002, to 640 in 2022).
  • Centenarians only accounted for 2.7% of the population aged 90 years and over (550,835) in England and Wales, and 0.03% of the total population (60.2 million) in 2022.
