It’s a significant month here at Home Instead Liverpool South, as we bid farewell to our previous franchise owner Jan, and we welcome new owners Mike and Catharine Chalton.
Thank you to Jan and her family for their incredible commitment and support over the years, we will miss you for sure.
We are however looking forward to a new start under new owners, Mike and Catharine. Mike was born on the Wirral and Catharine (just around the corner) in Liverpool, making her a truly ‘local’ owner. They were married in Birkenhead and still live on the Wirral today. making a difference to the lives of ageing adults across the local community.
Before entering the care sector, Mike had a successful career in Pharmaceutical Sales and Marketing, working for some of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies. Catharine trained as a nurse in the British Army and is a Specialist Nurse with experience in General Practice Nursing, Respiratory Nursing and Health Research.
We are in very good hands. We’re sure that Mike and Catharine won’t mind us referring to them as veterans of the home care sector, as they started their first Home Instead franchise in Wirral in 2007, developing it into the peninsula’s first (and still only) CQC Outstanding rated home care company, having delivered over 1.5 million hours of care to date.
In 2021, they also took ownership of Home Instead Chester, the first Home Instead office in the UK. Today the Chester franchise is thriving and well on its way to being the care provider of choice in the area. That’s a lot of great history to have behind us here in Liverpool.
Mike and Catharine bring a fresh approach to Home Instead Liverpool South, and our team will benefit greatly from their 17+ years of experience and best practices, delivering outstanding home care to thousands of clients.
We’re looking forward to a bright future.
