Boots Health Hub

Our Partnership with Boots

For 7 years we have provided home care, helping ageing adults in Kidderminster live the healthy and quality life that they deserve. Thanks to a new partnership with Boots, we are spreading this message even further. We are thrilled to become the first home care company to be approved on the new Boots Health Hub. You might have seen it advertised on TV. For generations, Boots has enabled people to manage their health and wellbeing effectively, and it has been a source of advice when it comes to looking after yourself. That’s why they’re such a good fit for Home Instead. They were drawn to us thanks to each of our offices being locally owned and very often playing a key part in the community, helping older people live in the way that they want. We know not everyone has an easy experience finding a home care company. The Boots Health Hub will make it simpler for people shopping around for domiciliary care to find a reputable provider. We’re proud of the network of organisations and

My Home Instead Journey by Ann P

I had always worked in admin/secretarial roles and in March 2020 I’d been employed for 6 years working as Health and Safety and Production Coordinator at a busy carpet manufacturing plant. Along with many others due to the coronavirus I was furloughed then made redundant in August 2020. Whilst searching for another job, I noticed that there were a lot of vacancies in the Health Care sector, so I thought I’d try something different. I didn’t think I would be successful as I had no previous experience and a few health problems of my own, but I was actually offered two jobs within a day of each other at separate companies. I chose Home Instead for a few reasons; I had seen the advertisements on TV and it looked like a very prestigious and friendly company. The pay rates and conditions were better and they checked me out thoroughly before employing me. There are various training opportunities and regular meetings to keep in touch with what’s going on. I have r

My Home Instead Journey by Jodie

fter being made redundant at the start of lockdown I decided it was time for a career change and to do something that made me happy. I joined HomeInstead in October 2020. In the beginning people would ask me if I was enjoying it and I would say I think so. I had very little self confidence and was very nervous of meeting new people. However now I can truly say I do enjoy my job. Nothing can compare to the feeling you get when you walk into a clients house and they realise it’s you and there face just lights up, or even the smaller changes in a clients mood between the beginning and end of a visit. Just knowing I have been able to help someone and make there day that little bit better/easier makes my day. That may be by just sitting and having a chat with them, helping them around the house or with personal care. Knowing that I have helped and they are great full makes the job so rewarding.
