Welcome to Home Instead Kidderminster.
My name is Laura, I own and operate Home Instead Kidderminster assisted by my Care Manager. Our office has been established since June 2014 covering Wyre Forest, Leominster and surrounding areas.
We want to show how Home Instead can make a difference.
It begins with our CAREGivers. During the selection process we look at values, experiences and ensure that our chosen CAREGiver understands the Home Instead ethos; and how together we are changing the face of ageing. Once selected our CAREGivers go through an extensive training programme; this gives them all the tools they will need to become the best CAREGiver they can be. For all CAREGivers we obtain four references and DBS check; this helps to ensure we have chosen the right person.
Providing a high quality of service is paramount to us, and this is why we carry out regular checks on the services we provide. We cover a range of different types of care and tailor these with the needs of our client, ensuring they have full involvement in the care they receive. From a few hours a day, up to 24 hours 7 days a week we provide a full care service to match the needs of the individual. We provide Companionship services – offering companionship and conversation, help with travel arrangements and participating in hobbies & crafts. Home Help services – collection of prescriptions, light housekeeping and help with shopping. Personal Care services – such as help with bathing, dementia care and medication reminders.
In 2016 Laing & Buisson have rated us the “Number 1 – Quality Home Care Provider For Older People”. So, how are we different?
* We carry out a minimum of a one hour call
* Our CAREGivers don’t wear uniforms, as we feel this creates a barrier between client and CAREGiver. They do however wear ID, in the form of a lanyard with a photographic ID badge attached
* We match clients to CAREGivers based on interests and personalities
* Introductions take place prior to any care visits. This is to ensure both client and CAREGiver are happy, and this way the client will know who will be coming into their home
* We carry out a unique training programme, made by us, for us.
And most all, we do what we say we are going to. To you it’s about making the right choice. To us, it’s personal.
At this office we have good relationships with local businesses and service providers, so we are able to inform our clients on what is available for them. Having experienced many of the services first hand, we are able to give our clients enough information to allow them to make an informed decision.
We are part of a global network of more than 1000 offices, each independently owned and operated. We are a full member of UKHCA (United Kingdom Homecare Association) and registered with the Care Quality Commission.
