Growing old can bring challenges, both for the person who’s ageing and for their family. It can be frustrating for our loved ones because they can’t do everything they used to and feel like they’re losing their independence. At the same time, it might be worrying for their family as they might not be able to be there whenever their loved ones need them.
Cornonavirus (COVID-19) Information
In line with the latest Government advice, all our CAREGivers are working hard to minimise the risk of transmission through safe working procedures. This includes the use of personal protection equipment (PPE) as needed. PPE includes the use of masks, aprons, gloves and/or eye protection when delivering care. If a CAREGiver is concerned they may have COVID-19, they are being urged to follow NHS advice. If advised to self-isolate at home, they will follow the Government’s stay at home guidance and will not carry out visits until safe to do so. Updated on Wednesday 11th November 2020

High-Quality Home Care & Help at Home
To The Communities in the Ivybridge, Kingsbridge, Plympton, Plymstock & Surrounding Areas
As we grow older, we sometimes find tasks that were once easy have now become a little more challenging to complete.
It can be difficult to accept that at times we may need additional help with day-to-day life.
Asking for additional support doesn't mean that you have failed or that you may need to leave home, there are many services available to help you remain in your home.
Here at Home Instead, we have Home Care services to help support people in living a happy & independent life at home where they feel most comfortable.
We understand that at first, the idea of home care can be slightly daunting. That's why we take extra special measures to ensure we select the perfect CAREGiver for you and your loved one.
Home Care & CAREGivers You Can Trust
In recent times we have all seen the efforts people go through to help and protect others. This makes us proud of the national effort our Home Instead offices have made to protect the vulnerable.
It takes a special kind of person to become a CAREGiver, someone who is compassionate, trustworthy and wants to make a positive impact on someone's life.
Our team here in the Ivybridge office are incredible; every day they go above and beyond to show how dedicated they are to their roles of helping those who need it.
What makes Home Instead stand out from others is that they invest in their people.
Home Instead developed and created specialist care courses that are accredited by City & Guilds.
We enrol all of our CAREGivers on a course of intensive training sessions who then receive accredited certifications upon completion.
CAREGivers are also thoroughly background checked and vetted before they begin their career with Home Instead.
Prior to a CAREGiver meeting a client, we go through a thorough process to ensure that your requirements and personality get perfectly matched with a CAREGiver.
We know it's essential for everyone to feel comfortable and happy at all times which is why it's crucial to get to know the characters of our clients so that we can provide the most personal and home care possible.
Flexible Help at Home Tailored To Your Needs
When you book your free care consultation, we take the time to listen and get to know you.
During your assessment, we want to understand what home care requirements you have and how we can best support you with the most reliable home help and support you need.
We then go on to create a care plan based on your personal requirements.
Once we have agreed on the best plan of care for you, we will arrange when your CAREGiver will begin to assist you with the home help and support you need.
Having a CAREGiver around will not only help around the home but it will improve the quality of your life at home, where you belong. You will wonder how you got by without a CAREGiver before!
