Senior Fraud Protection Campaign Launched

With individuals being defrauded by scams to the tune of £3.5 billion last year (and this is believed to be just the tip of the iceberg), Home Instead has launched a campaign to protect local seniors from such criminal activity.

As part of the campaign we have compiled a ‘Senior Fraud Protection Kit’ which is crammed full of useful information and advice to help people avoid falling victim to what is known as ‘mass market scams’.

With these scams, which are alarmingly common, ‘faceless’ criminals use email, telephone and post to lure their victims into parting with their life savings, personal banking information and other assets.

We have put our ‘Protection Kit’ together so that all our CAREGivers can share the advice it contains with their clients and their family members, and we are keen to share this information with anyone in our community – be they health professionals, family members concerned about an elderly loved one or an older person themselves.

Anyone interested in receiving information can contact Home Instead on 01473-272301 where one of our team will assist.
