Caring Anne Through to National Finals

Local CAREGiver Anne Belton, has been nominated for a national award for her outstanding services to the home care sector. Anne is one of only five finalists who are in the running for at-home care company Home Instead Senior Care’s national ‘CAREGiver of the Year’ award.

Anne Belton, 46, from Felixstowe, joined the team in 2015 and is a real champion of Home Instead. Anne works tirelessly with her clients to make sure she gives the best quality care she can and build the best relationships with her clients. She truly believes in the Home Instead way.

Anne was put forward for the award by Registered Manager of Home Instead Ipswich, Felixstowe and Woodbridge, Joanna McCall. In nominating her, Joanna said, “Anne is truly the most amazing caregiver you would ever meet. She will undertake anything requested by her clients and nothing is ever too much trouble. She is the kind of CAREGiver I would hope for if the need ever arose.”

She continued, “Anne epitomises the Home Instead ethos and she genuinely cares about her clients and her colleagues. She is a very special lady who always thinks of others before herself. Anne has had a very difficult year and has twice had to move home with her family at very short notice. At one point Anne didn’t know if she would have somewhere for her family to live the following week but she still carried on with her clients and didn’t once ask for time off even though the office offered it frequently.

“To sum Anne up, she has commitment, energy, passion, enthusiasm, support, empathy and compassion. She is kind, caring, approachable, understanding and a lovely person to be around. She is an amazing lady and our CAREGiver of the Year 2017.”

The wife of one of Anne’s clients commented on the exciting news that she has been nominated as a finalist for CAREGiver of the Year. She said, “Anne is an absolute marvel. She is kind, caring, immensely professional and a really good laugh. She has supported my husband through a very difficult phase, and has supported me too, providing a cheerful, utterly reliable presence in our household. Anne has been so flexible in the hours that she has offered us, and has been willing to support my husband in pursuing a range of interests including sailing and singing. They have also enjoyed improving their 'personal best' time as they whizz around the supermarket together, making what is a tedious task for me into a fun activity for him.”
