Top Marks for Harrogate Care Company

Home Instead Harrogate, Ripon and Thirsk have been busy recently ensuring their CAREGivers are trained and developed to understand the  specialist conditions that many of their clients live with and on how to deliver end of life care.

In 2019, Home Instead  were delighted to receive a second Princess Royal Training Award, this time for their End of Life training.

The accolade from Princess Anne recognises businesses that demonstrate outstanding training and skills development programmes.

Home Instead was one of just 44 organisations in the UK to receive the award and the only home care company to secure it in 2019.

The aims of the training are to support CAREGivers during what is a difficult part of care work and also to improve the quality of care provided to clients.

The programme is an Assured programme with City and Guilds, which is an instantly recognisable mark of quality and credibility and the training was developed in conjunction with the End of Life Partnership,  an award winning Cheshire based charity aiming to create a more complete and holistic approach to living well, care, death and loss through public awareness and community engagement, education and training.

The aim of the course is to give CAREGivers the knowledge and skills to enable them to deliver the best possible care to clients when they require palliative, end of life or terminal care.

Home Instead is committed to providing the very best training for its CAREGivers out there delivering care each and every day. They run a programme of continuous training and career development opportunities for their team.

If you are looking for a new career where training and development is important to you but also a career that is highly rewarding and more of a vocation than a job, then please get in touch to find out more.
