Thirsk based home care company Home Instead recently got involved with the Hambleton Over 50’s Forum and Age UK North Yorkshire’s ‘eng-AGE’ event to coincide with the annual celebration of ‘Older People’s Day’ on the 1st October. The event took place at the Town Hall in Thirsk where local organisations got together to offer information (to include physical and social activities in the area) and advice.
Home Instead who support and assist older people within their own homes thought it was an ideal opportunity to promote the service that they offer and to even recruit some like-minded caring individuals to join their CAREGiving team.
Sheena Van Parys, owner of Home Instead, Harrogate, Ripon and Thirsk commented: “The ‘eng-AGE’ event was a perfect venue to let the over 50’s know that we are an employer who recruits from all ages and generations. Older People’s Day is all about sharing skills and experiences between different generations and to recognise the contribution that older people make to the community. At Home Instead if you are passionate about caring for others and want to have a career that is both fulfilling and rewarding, then we would love to hear from you no matter what age you are.”
