Bring Joy Foundation Supports Knaresborough Charity

The Memory Lane Cafe which is held at Gracious Street Church Hall in Knaresborough were delighted to receive a letter telling them that they had been successful in their funding bid to The Bring Joy Foundation.

Lisa Stirk from Home Instead who is a volunteer at the Cafe said 'it was very special to see the reaction of the group on hearing the news of their success in getting funding for their annual trip on the Dalesman in Skipton'.

The group are already underway in planning their trip, which is going to take place on Tuesday 23rd July.  Beth Parson's from Stray FM has also confirmed that she will be joining the group on their trip out.  Listen out to hear the thoughts and reactions of the Memory Lane Cafe user's on Stray FM.

The Bring Joy Foundation was set up in 2014 by the founders of Home Instead UK Ltd Samantha and Trevor Brocklebank.  The charity has a unique vision, to help groups and organisations across the UK, put a touch of sparkle onto the agenda by funding events and activities or rekindling favourite pastimes.  This is certainly going to do that for the user's and volunteers of the Memory Lane Cafe.

The Memory Lane Cafe runs every other Tuesday at 2.30pm - 4pm.  For more information please call Norman Smales on 07808 076375.
