It’s Snow Business As Usual for Caring Team

Despite the heavy snow falls this week in North Yorkshire, the team from Home Instead Harrogate, Ripon and Thirsk were ready to continue to support their elderly clients.

It was business as usual as the team battled the elements to ensure the Home Instead clients living in the rural areas around Harrogate, Ripon and Thirsk were not left stranded without their daily support and assistance from their Home Instead Caregiver.

Andrew Van Parys, co-owner of Home Instead commented; ‘we support older people who may be vulnerable and need our team to help them with their medication, personal care and meal times, so it was vital that we made that visit to them.  Our caregiving team did a fantastic job to make sure that they reached their clients, not easy in the very rural areas where the roads may be untreated, very slippery and difficult to access.  Our caregivers pulled out all the stops to make sure that the visits went ahead, even if it meant getting a lift on a quad bike and tractor to access our clients in the Dales.’

As a caring business supporting over 100 clients in their own homes in and around North Yorkshire, the team know how important it is for the clients who are elderly and who may be on their own, to receive the daily contact and support, although it’s snowing and the roads might be treacherous the dedicated team at Home Instead will do all that they can to make sure that visit goes ahead.

Andrew Van Parys added; ‘Our caregivers are committed professionals who despite the adverse conditions continue to deliver outstanding care with a smile on their faces. I’d like to thank them for the great job that they are doing and I'd also like to thank Beth Parsons from Stray FM Radio for giving a ‘shout out’ to all the team as they were out and about driving in the snow; it gave everyone a real boost!’
