Home Instead Support Friends of Ripley Annual Event
Home Instead were delighted to support the 'Friends of Ripley' at the annual fundraising event at Ripley Town Hall.
An Arabian Night themed event was supported by 88 guests from Ripley and surrounding villages. Home Instead who support older people living in their own homes in and around the towns of Harrogate, Ripon and Thirsk but whose main office is based in Ripley, were delighted to donate a luxury hamper for the raffle.
The evening raised a generous amount of money which goes towards maintaining the picturesque village and is undertaken by 'The Friends of Ripley'. They can be seen replacing chains around the main car park, painting railings, decorating the village for festivities and litter picking to keep the village they are so proud of clean and tidy.
Lisa Stirk Community Co-Ordinator was introduced to Gayle Cascarino, Friends of Ripley Chairperson, by a mutual friend and Lisa looks forward to joining the monthly TLC Senior Lunch on Thursday the 29th November. The TLC Lunches are held on the last Friday of every month and are run by Ripley volunteers to support the senior members of their community.
Gayle said "Thank you for your kind raffle prize on behalf of the Friends of Ripley, it was greatly appreciated".
Lisa looks forward to working closely with Gayle and her volunteers in 2019 in promoting Ripley and the wonderful people who live there.
