Local company Home Instead who deliver care and support in the comfort of your own home were happy to support the recent charity bike ride organised by Ripon Rotary Club. The bike ride is an annual event to raise important funds for charities including Dementia forward and Scleroderma Research plus other local charities in the area supported by Ripon Rotary Club.
The route covered 62 miles in total, starting and finishing at Bishop Monkton Village Hall and the route included the towns and villages around Helperby, Easingwold, Newton on Ouse and Ferensby.
The team at Home Instead got up bright and early on the morning of Saturday the 13th May, to set up the refreshment stop at Stillington Village Hall, multiple cups of fruit juice and bananas were laid out and at the ready for the 600 riders who were taking part and stopping to refuel!
As well as the Home Instead team helping at one of the pit stops with refreshments, Home Instead also donated and sponsored all the refreshments for the bike ride.
Sheena Van Parys, co-owner of Home Instead commented; ‘we always enjoy helping and supporting community events, especially when they involve fund raising for such worthwhile causes in the area. We look forward to being part of next year’s charity bike ride’.
Ripon Rotary Club thanked Home Instead for all their help and support in making the bike ride a huge success.
