Harrogate Home Instead Gets Crafty

Local company Home Instead who support people to  live well  in their own homes in and around the towns of Harrogate, Ripon and Thirsk recently hosted  a charity stall at Ripon and Knaresborough Market in the lead up to Christmas .   The team sold Christmas craft  items , made by their very own talented and kind caregivers in order to raise money for Home Instead Charities.

Homemade Christmas trees decorations, gift wrap tags, Christmas cards and wreaths were on sale at the stall and even a quiz to guess the name of the bear. A winner was announced  and  Shaun the bear found a lovely new home!

Home Instead Charities works to end loneliness in ageing adults across the UK. Home Instead Harrogate, Ripon and Thirsk are currently fundraising for the charity who then distribute grants to community groups and charities who serve ageing adults.  Home Instead Charities makes sure ageing adults are healthy, happy and connected to their communities, whether or not they will ever be a Home Instead client. This is Home Instead’s way of giving back to the community.

· Home Instead Charities’ mission is to end loneliness in ageing adults.
· Loneliness increases the risk and onset of dementia.
