Harrogate Care Company Supports Thirsty Warriors

The team at Home Instead were busy over the weekend supporting the Yorkshire Warrior event held on Sunday the 4th July 2021. Home Instead, who support people living in their own homes to live independently,  were thrilled to get involved with helping at the event, as the Yorkshire Warrior route, which is both challenging and physical,  runs past their office in Ripley.

Yorkshire Warrior began in 2013 and attracts people from all over the UK and Europe to take part in the obstacle course set in the beautiful grounds of Ripley castle .

Due to the pandemic , the event had to be cancelled in 2020, so following covid guidelines, the event was able to run again this year.

Home Instead was on hand to provide much needed hydration to the thirsty warriors with a table packed full of filled water cups, ready to pass to the runners as they ran past.  To keep the energy and motivation going , the team at Home Instead made sure that music was playing and created a party atmosphere, cheering on the entrants.

Andrew Van Parys, co-owner of Home Instead, who helped out on the day , commented ; ‘it was great fun to help out at this event, such a good atmosphere and we will certainly be on hand to help out again next year.’
