Birthday Celebrations For Harrogate Caring Company

The team at Home Instead Harrogate, Ripon and Thirsk have been busy recently, active in the community, delivering Birthday treats to their Clients and to help celebrate their special day .  Flowers and balloons were hand delivered by the team to celebrate the milestone birthdays of 90 years and 107 years.
Home Instead support people living in their own homes in and around the towns of Harrogate, Ripon and Thirsk. Their growth is not only attributable to the ageing population but, with social care very much in the spotlight in recent months, people are getting a better understanding of the care options that are available to them.  Home is where most people would like to remain and Home Instead can provide support and assistance with everyday activities to enable independence when living at home.

Recent census reports have also indicated an almost 20 per cent increase in the 65 and over population of North Yorkshire in the past ten years a trend which is set to continue.

Sheena Van Parys, co-owner of Home Instead in Harrogate commented, “It is our stated aim to change the way care is delivered to the elderly in the UK and, in doing so, change the face of ageing. It is the unique and high-quality, personal service which we offer that has allowed us to grow so quickly and continue to create jobs across the area. The rate at which our business is growing bears testament to the quality service our team provides.”

The Home Instead network are proud to have received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2016 in the field of innovation which is the UK’s highest accolade for business success.

The Queen's Award is hugely prestigious and honours the blueprint for care the brand has created, a bespoke model that delivers dignified, quality care in the home. The award from the monarch pays testimony to Home Instead's relationship-led approach, which includes:

· Homecare visits that typically last a minimum of one hour or longer.

· A focus on the value of companionship and trips out alongside practical help with bathing and meal preparation.

· CAREGivers and clients matched according to common hobbies and interests.

Sheena continued, “Our caregivers are very special people and greatly appreciated for the fantastic work they do. They come from varying backgrounds which is great for matching and relationship building with our clients but the attributes they all have in common are compassion, empathy, professionalism and a real desire to make a difference to the lives of others through care that is not rushed or time constrained.  We provide all the necessary training in-house, so whether you are 19 or 99, if you are a caring person and looking for a job that is very satisfying and highly rewarding, then please get in touch with us to find out how you can make a difference.”
