Community Meals Services
Community Meals Services provide hot, freshly cooked meals to your door Monday – Friday and will often also provide frozen meals, ready-to-heat meals or sandwiches for weekends and bank holidays.
Unfortunately you cannot choose your delivery time as the volunteer driver will have a set route, but delivery is usually between 12pm and 2pm and the driver will serve your meal to you and make sure you’re all set before they leave.
You will find that most of your local supermarkets will offer home delivery services for your shopping.

Oakhouse Foods and Wiltshire Farm Foods offer a huge variety of meals that can be oven-cooked or microwaved straight from frozen.
You can choose regular deliveries to your door, and the drivers will also pack it away for you!
They both cater for the smaller appetite if needed, and also provide options for food intolerances and those with swallowing needs such as soft, minced and pureed meals.
COOK don’t quite offer the variety of the other two, but can cater to gluten and dairy free diets. They are also a bit more expensive, but the meals are delicious and perfect for a treat. Each dish is hand-prepared by chefs, sourced sustainably and award-winning so well worth a try! (I can recommend the Moroccan Spiced Lamb Tagine)
Even with all these options, you may find that nothing compares to a fresh meal, cooked from scratch, exactly how you like it, and in your own home!
